The haunch steak is firmer and slightly more robust, offering a deeper, savoury taste. While venison loin steak is best cooked quickly over high heat to preserve its tenderness, venison haunch steak benefits from similar methods, like grilling, pan-searing, or broiling, but may tolerate slightly longer cooking for a more intense flavour. Best served medium-rare to medium, both cuts pair well with herbs like rosemary, thyme, and garlic to enhance their natural flavours.
